Zaisan Memorial Hill
On the top of the Zaisan Hill is a Memorial Statue of the honor of Soviet Soldiers, who fought in the war of Khalkh Gol, against Japan Soldiers in 1939. The statue was built by the group of architects led by Khishigt. A in 1969 and finished in 1971. On the memorial lower wall has written “THE SOVIET WARRIORS MEMORY HAS BEEN SEALED IN THE SKY WITH THE SUN, ON THE GROUND WITH THE FIRE”. It has 300 meters long stairs with 600 steps leading to the Soviet Soldier’s Statue with a 60 meter long circle wall. There is a 3m diameter fireplace in the middle of the square which symbolizes the memory of the soldiers will be remembered forever. Outside of the circle wall has crustated Mongolian and Soviet merit medals decorated with the Mongolian traditional pattern. Inside of the wall have pictures made with glass art, which shows the two countries' friendly relationship throughout the years.
