Ulaanbaatar
Ulaanbaatar city was established in 1639, had been moved to different locations until the year of 1778, finally moved to the palace which is now. It has been a religious and trading center until the year of 1911, officially changed into the Capital City, named Niislel Khuree, then changed into Ulaanbaatar in 1924. It is surrounded by 4 mountains, located in the middle of Tuv province. Ulaanbaatar has 9 districts, economy, culture, education, finance, and political center of Mongolia. Its population is about 1.7 million, with an area of 4704km2. Ulaanbaatar is the coldest capital city in the world.
